Students can legally work full time during school breaks.

  • Minimum wage in Taiwan is $190 NTD = $6.30 USD
  • School term: 36 weeks x 20 hours per week = 720 hours x $6.30 = $4,536 Annually
  • School break: 16 weeks x 40 hours per week = 640 hours x $6.30 = $4,032 Annually
  • $4,536 + $4,032 = $8,568/12 = $714 a month
